Techie Talk for Non-Geeks

Getting this party started… The three essentials:

1.   A basic dedicated landline with unlimited local calling:
You will need to contact your local telephone service provider. Please be aware that dial-up and manually activated internet and satellite telephone connections will not qualify. When ordering your dedicated line, request the following:
  • A basic fax line
  • Unlimited local calling
  • No long distance services
  • No additional features added (i.e., call-waiting, caller ID, etc.)
  • A non-published number is suggested to avoid the possibility of
    service disruption
Please Note:
It is highly recommended that you Do Not plug a physical telephone or fax machine into this line once your gateway device is installed and operational. It will be used exclusively for connecting your VOiParty digital gateway device to the network.

For those who may be interested: View any incidental expense for this line as a cost of doing business; an expense that can typically be written off. Consult with your accountant to see how this and other benefits associated with operating a business can be favorably addressed.

2.   A high-speed broadband internet connection:
  • A Cable or DSL connection will meet the digital gateway device and network requirements
The higher the bandwidth you have, the better. But, no need to upgrade or over purchase.

3.   A VOiParty proprietary connection device:
This will be included following your qualification, acceptance and a business start-up investment of the following one-time expenses:
  • (1) Digital Gateway Device:linespacer149.00
  • (1) Proprietary Programming and Set-up:linespacer99.00
  • (1) Shipping and Handling:linespacer9.95  (contiguous US)
  • linespacerSub-Total:linespacer$ 257.95
Annually, you will be assessed a Network Membership Fee of $29.95. Your first year's membership is also included when you begin your VOiParty business. linespacerTOTAL VOiParty Investment::linespacer$ 287.90

So how do I get plugged in?
As soon as you receive your VOiParty digital gateway device you will want to get it connected and operational so it will be readily available to begin terminating (connection and completion) calls.

Each device measures only 4”x4”x1” and comes with easy to follow installation instructions. Depending upon the internet/phone configuration at your location, detailed procedural documentation and how-to videos are available to you via your VOiParty back-office.

Should you encounter technical difficulties during or following the installation process, feel confident in knowing that qualified technical support staff is
near-by to assist.

How secure is the digital gateway device?
Network security is of top importance at VOiParty. Each digital gateway device is provisioned and encoded with VOiParty’s proprietary firmware and secure password protection.

How secure and private are the calls being routed through the device?
In some ways, the security and privacy of the calls being automatically routed through your device actually exceeds that of the traditional green telecom boxes you see spotted throughout neighborhoods and business parks. In fact, due to the proprietary encryption VOiParty incorporated into each digital gateway device, it is all but impossible to interrupt a call routed through your installed device.

How much bandwidth will be used over my connection?
The infrastructure configuration allows for delivering on average, 300 calls daily through each gateway device connected to the network. Each call uses a minimal 40kb, which would equate to approximately 32MB per month. This usage is well under any cable provider’s bandwidth threshold limit. For example, Comcast currently has set its throughput limit at 250GB of bandwidth per month.

Do I need to babysit the device once it's installed?
Nope, not at all. Once the device is installed in your home or place of business, all you have to do is check on it every so often, making sure that device remains powered up. Essentially, you just plug it in and leave it alone to collect the inter-exchange fees from the calls that are automatically routed through your digital toll-booth.

A patented and proprietary technology:
Since the breakup of AT&T, the evolution of a wholesale inter-exchange communications network spawned a reinvention of the telecommunications industry.

With its combined experience of over 50-years in the telecommunications industry, and by leveraging the power of its strategic industry partner relationships, VOiParty is positioned to capitalize on this ground-breaking opportunity. As a result, it stands to be the first IXC to cover 100-percent of North America within the next two years.

These alliances provide for a stable and substantial foundation for current and subsequent phased development of their peer-to-peer communications network. Three of these vital and highly regarded technology partners include: Cisco Systems (LinkSys), Level 3 Communications, and IPIP Corp.

Cisco Systems, Inc / Cisco Drives The VOiParty Network:
A worldwide leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate. Cisco’s in-house VOiParty department is equipped and committed to manage all future growth demands, along with the capacity to phase-up production to 100,000 devices weekly.

Level 3 Communications, Inc / VOiParty’s Connection to the World:
Ranking as one of world’s most connected Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and one of the largest IP transit networks in North America and Europe, Level 3 Communications has become a world-class communications provider. Winning the trust of the world’s most sophisticated communications companies, they rank as one of the world’s top three Internet traffic carriers and is one of only six Tier-1 Internet providers in the world today.

IPIP Corp, Inc / Purchases what VOiParty Delivers:
With its network extending over 50 countries, and its relationships with many of the major retail telecom carriers, IPIP Corp has joined forces with VOiParty to help reduce their own bottom line. This will be accomplished by their commitment to purchase all the wholesale Least Cost Routing minutes that VOiParty gateway communication devices can produce.

So what if we move, can the device come with us?
Absolutely! You can take the VOiParty digital gateway device with you to your new residence. Once relocated, the company will program your device to its new location.

In closing… for now:
Once you become further involved, we’re certain additional questions will arise. Rest assured that answers are close by, and that both we and our many company resources are here to assist you in any way we can.
